Trigger Happy

Ok, Genting was nothing but FUN, FUN and MORE FUN! I guess you just feel liberated when it's your first trip abroad without your parents and just with your friends. Well, at least it was my first. I'd never stepped out of Singapore without my parents or teacher before this trip! So woot! The first of many more to come? Anyways, me being the "sua ku" one, I took photos of everything and anything. Let's see, we almost couldn't get up the bus on 27th night because there was a typo on the confirmation paper thing and it said we were leaving on the 28th night. But we didn't relent! Shuling, Alvin and Lionel made the tour agency person check for available seats that would get us out of Singapore that very night. And true enough, there were seats available on the Konsortium Express! So of course, it's not Five-Stars (the agency we booked with) but at least we could get there by 28th morning! So people! Fight for what's yours! Wahahahahaha.. On the bus, we... Slept... Ate bubblegum... Our stash of bubble gum and codfish strips, seaweed, what-have-yous.. The bus ride there was only about 6hours! Pretty fast! And I heard from those who didn't sleep that the coaches had a race of their own. Some kinda Grand Prix for coaches! Wahahaahahhaha.. And if you've noticed, all 6 of us are 4-eyed froggies. Imagine all 6 of us normally wear contact lenses and at night we all transform back to 4-eyed froggies! Reached Genting First World Hotel at 5am in the morning and it was FREEZING! Gawd. They don't call it "yun ding" (top of the clouds) for nothing! The queue for the early check in was a long and snaking queue. And since we were all too sluggish (from sitting too long) we just decided to slowly walk there and queue up behind the aunties and uncles. And we had our growling stomachs to feed, so we had breakfast at the cafe near the front desks. Just a word of caution! The food there is EXPENSIVE! Plain beehoon with nice chilli costs RM7!! o_O And DO NOT EAT THEIR CHAR SIEW BAO!! Bluff me! We forgot, momentarily, that we were in Malaysia and I happily thought I could enjoy my PORK char siew bao! But!!! It was CHICKEN! Argh. Spoiler. Not nice one!! Thank God the queue moved fast and we got our rooms. I heard from Momsie and everybody else who went there that our rooms will be "window-less" and it'll be cramped and with just enough space for one person to move at a time and that the toilet is just a stall for you to shower. But! We had rooms in the new tower!! We had a window! Wowee! But it overlooks to the other rooms opposite us, so you know, can see people erm, getting it on, erm, if you know what I mean. X) Our room. It's really not that bad ya. Like a normal hotel room except smaller, but out of the 3 rooms we got, the one that Karen and I shared was the biggest! Woohoo! =P See, the toilet is on the left. Quite big what! Karen is a lousy photographer! Bah. Yes, we are all bundled up and ready to go out! Wheee! It was too late to go to the theme parks so we just loitered around the First World Plaza, shopping our legs off! Bumcity! Great deals! Bought earrings and Maybelline eyeliner at only SGD$7! Woot. The window display at Bumcity. Cute hoh! Padini Concept Store! It's VNC, P&Co and Seed combined into one! My favourite! Ripley's Believe it or not! RM18! Go check it out! Group shot! The 6 troopers! With the Heaviest man and a chip off the Berlin Wall. Group Shot of us girls! Karen, Sel, Shuling and Zhenting! Notice the shades I have on? Me and Zhenting! So misty hoh! Very nice! Cooling! Notice the shades!!??? Dior shades. Dammit. I need to get my hands on one of them. Because my shades broke! Dammit. And guess who broke their shades next? Shuling! Whee! 2 shades broken! -_-!!! Oooh, and Pizza Hut is very cheap there! A meal for 6 only costs like RM80. So it was less than SGD$10 for each of us. Cool eh? And we had Japanese food for dinner because we were craving for sashimi! This tempura set only costs RM23.90! Wowee! But sashimi was a disappointment! They cut the wrong direction!! :( Gondola Ride.. The guy rowing our Gondola looks eerie. And we went to sing our hearts out! Group shot at the Be A Star KTV! Where we sang Qing Tian.. And Qi Li Xiang.. Awww... He's so cute! *Drools* Check out the size of the room man! It's like DAMN BIG!! Me and Zhenting Ignore my retarded pose. And they use projection screens ok! Not Teebee ok! Comes with a small bill too! RM10 each! The decor's great too! With pretty chandeliers! Big armchairs! That I fell asleep in~ Hee hee.. Jus to EMPHASIZE the size of the armchair! Ignore the retarded pose again. Then we went back to the indoor themepark and went on the Ferris Wheel! My favourite ride, after the Carousel! Which wasn't working. Argh. Round and round and round we went.. The Ferris wheel! Again! In the bird-cage like carriage. Yes, that's Big Ben behind. And yup, it's 11.20pm. Wahahahaha. Big Ben! I love light streaks! Wowee! The carousel I never got to ride! Boohoohoo! It was under maintenence the day we went. Talk about "suay". And they had an age limit. Argh. So nice right! Ooh pretty little horses! I'll be back! And the pretty Eiffel Tower! Check this out! This is something we don't often see! I saw this and I'm reminded of Rach Lum. Lookie! Statue of Liberty in Genting! Alas! 3 days flew past in a flash and it's time to go home! Not that I'm complaining, I miss Momsie and Pops! And Sakae Sushi! And classes! And my beloved laptop! Wahahahaha.. But! With the little bit of energy left in our camera batteries, we snapped away outside the hotel before the bus came! Us and Doraemon, the morning before we left! Last minute buys! RM19.90! RM19.90! 50% off! Wahahaha! RM15! Haven't seen the sun for more than 48hrs! Oh my god! Wowee! Clouds! Do not talk when you're taking a photo! Kakakaka! Ok, I guess she just doesn't want to take a photo with me! :( Or maybe she's just sad cause we're leaving Genting. It was sunshiny bright the day we left! Not a dark cloud in the sky! Genting Highlands! Yun Ding! Never a more appropriate name! Pooh's first trip out~ He's a happy bear! Keke! This looks familiar? Star fingers for Star friends! =) Farewell Genting! Hello Singapore! A trip we'll never forget! We left our footprints here! And off we go home.. On a double-decker Five Star coach that's too short for tall people. I can't stand straight! Alright, that's the end of the photos in my camera. There're more in Karen's and Shuling's cameras. I'm tired. It's hard work posting all the photos man. I hope the rest had as much fun as me. It's a trip I'll never forget!! Side note: All photos posted by Hello. Camera is Ah-Keong's brother's. My cousin la. And there are more photos to come! My first time at Archery! Wowee! Side side note: What's this about Die-Sel! Dammit. Why they like to seperate the Die and the Sel!?!??! Hmmmph? What's the rationale!? Argh!! Check back soon!
