A Day at the Beach

Warning: Long post with lots of photos ahead! So sit back and wait. A while. While the photos load ok! And as usual, click on photo to see the full size! *grin* Alright, so we didn't make it to Sentosa, but East Coast Park was just as good. Hrrmph. I swear I will go to Sentosa. Soon. Very soon. *cross fingers* And no, girls, I am not sad/angry/unhappy that you 2 couldn't make it. Really. I' m ok la. Just felt a bit "tua-ed". But I'm fine ok! First stop, NTUC! Or do they call it Fair Price now? Actually the price not very fair what, it's considered expensive leh. Cows. Where got fair? Anyhows, bought chips! Yummy Doritos, very Pari Pari Calbee and Fair Price Potato Chips. Saw the Van Houten Napolitains and I was reminded of my childhood days, so we bought that too! Karen! Don't finish it! Leave some for meee! Note to readers: the Pizza Squares not nice one! Don't buy! Then we trooped down to the beach, after which I took this photo, it started to rain. Dammit. I was like, "Shit, Karen, I think it's going to rain." And very on-cue, Mr Thunder decided to roll then. tmd. Luckily it was only a drizzle. So we decided to go ahead and rented a bicycle! But not before I took a very narcissistic shot first! I feel like a sunshine girl whenever I'm at the beach. Even though I am NOT a sunshine girl. Really. See, Karen has a very healthy bronzy tan, while I look like a steamed chicken. And pink. Gawd. And this very die-hard cyclist. "Oei, raining already! Come into the shelter la!" No, actually it's just a dummy. And the shopkeeper actually replied, "Aiya, nobody to take over him, so he has to stay up there." Ok. -_-. Together now, "L-A-M-E!" So this bicycle rental shop was having this promotion. Rent 1 hour and you get a free gift. It's actually a finger puppet. It looks kinda weird. Ha. But quite cute la. The further we cycled, the heavier the rain got. Sadness. Until we had to take shelter in this patio. And there was a very cute kitty! He ate the chips that Karen dropped on the floor! I didn't know cats liked sour cream and onion. And do they even eat chips!? Oh, it ate my Very Pari Pari Calbee Hot & Spicy chips as well. I'm sure it was very hungry. Poor little kitty. The double bike we rented. Trivia : Karen CANNOT ride behind. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. She says the pedals are too close to each other and she's too fat which is why she can't cycle behind. Wth. And she started screaming when we tried to move off with me cycling in front. Bah. Oh yah! We saw this group of people building a sand castle! Very nice hor!? They were a bunch of students from NTU, some church group thingey. And this sand castle building thing is supposed to be part of their team-building. Hrmm. Very team-building meh? I don't know. But that's a darn good-looking sand castle. Stopped in the middle of the track for this shot. Hahahahaha. And this too. Yeah, double-bikes rock. Hahaha. I can sit back and relax leh! But actually, I think I rode harder than Karen. Bleah. Saw a lot of Malay teens (boys, actually) doing this. What's this huh? Some kind of surfing? But they barely got past the shore. I don't see any point in this activity. Seriously. And their boards from Billabong, Quiksilver one okay. Don't play play ah. But really, what is the whole point of this running and falling into the water? Hmm? We got bored of watching them so we started drawing on the sand! Wheee! So fun! Karen and her hot pink slippers. Me and my black Projectshop slippers ($18.90!! must mention, too expensive for a pair of rubber flip flops. grr) . Our icons. Shuling's a tree because her name has the word "SHU" in it. Shu means tree. Zhenting's icon is -_-"' because she always gives this face. Wahahaha. Karen's carrot (drawn very nicely by me) because, eh, I don't know leh. Her name sounds like carrot? Does it? And mine is a smiley face because I like this face! Yay! And we saw a couple romancing in the water! Wah! So "lo-man-tic" leh! But what a weird place. Heh. My foot prints! The second after I took this picture, a gigantic wave crashed in and washed my foot prints away. :( Yes, I know I have long arms. They are proportionate to my height la ok. Trivia: Did you know if you stretched out your hand like so, the distance from the tip of your fingers on your right hand to the tip of your fingers on your left hand is your height? Anyhows! This picture is not about my hands. It's about what's written in the sand. My URL! Wheeeee! It looks darn cool ya! And diagonally.. Diagonally with me! As if my URL wasn't enough, I wrote my name too! Oh these 3 kids are damn cute! Especially the little boy! Hee hee! And they actually agreed to take a picture with me! Ahhhh, so cute!!!! A candid shot. Hrmmph. Nice sun tho. Yay! Hahaha, I like this shot! Karen looks like she's holding the little boy in her hands! So cute! Yes, the narcissistic duo strikes again! And again! And again again! And again again again! Oh, the very popular "xi nu ai le" shots. Xi : Happy Nu: Angry Ai: Sad Le: Happier than happy. Hahahaha!!! I don't know what's the difference between Xi and Le actually. Karen's take. Hahahaha. I think she looks really sad in the "Ai" photo. We found out Bus 401 goes to East Coast Park! Wowee! Next time can take 401 already! Yippee! And yes, we love my camera. *smirk* 4 - views of selsel. Wahahaha.. I've never seen these before! Cool! No I am not balding. I have a head of thick hair. Ya ya ya. And lookie who cut his hair! Mr Melvin Tan! Tell you to cut short look nicer right! And it took a gay hairstylist to make him cut his hair short, when he could have just taken my advice! Bah. Anyhoos, hi-five to the hairstylist. Hahaha. Great minds think alike. Wheee! So ham-sum la. *wolf-whistle whee-weet!* Hahahaha!! Willy Wonka! Willy Wonka! Wheeee! Oh and hope the concert went well for you, sweetie. Sorry I couldn't attend!! *paiseh paiseh* And I where got look like Kelly Poon (of Project Superstar fame)?? Alamak! First it was Rui'en. Then Joi Tsai (ok, that was really ridiculous). And now!!! Kelly?! Ok. I'm flattered, because they are very pretty. But I would prefer to look like Selena Ho, ok? Thank yew very much. Have I lost weight? Not much what. I just fell sick, so maybe I lost a few kgs there. But very obvious meh? Hmm. I'm still not shitting very often you know. Where has my shit gone to, that is the question (!?!?!). Gah. Ok, very long post. I'm tired. Wednesday is creeping near. So stressed la!!!!!!

Search for selsel and her sister

Yay, I'm very happy today. Because I searched for "selsel" on Yahoo! Singapore and see what I found! Ok, very self-absorbed I know. And don't ask me why in the world I searched for selsel. But! Yay, http://selsel.blogspot.com came out first when you search for selsel on Yahoo! Hahahahaha. I'm going crazy. I've a sudden craving for bah kwa. Argh. Dad bought some. @ 10.57pm: I googled and Yahoo-ed! for my sister. Yes, it has come down to this. I found her. I cannot believe I found her. I am now looking for Springfield Secondary School students. Anyone who knows anyone or any readers from Springfield Secondary School, please contact me. Leave me a tag, send me an email, an sms. My email is [selsel@gmail.com]. I just want to find my sister. Think of this as a public appeal. But don't let her know I'm looking for her. Please.

I love my new camera! Yahoo!

Flurry of activities

My 3 month-long vacation is almost coming to an end. A recap: Been to Hong Kong, a dozen birthday parties, watched damn a lot of movies, shopped a lot, played a lot, slept a lot. I almost don't want it to end. BUT! I'm getting sick of sitting on my ass doing nothing constructive. So, I am actually happy that classes are starting. Yes, my friend says he's never seen someone happy about classes starting. Something new everyday! Classes start on 27th August. Then it's full speed ahead till June 06. (Yes, sounds very far off, but I assure you, time passes very fast!) Planning a Saturday at Sentosa! This coming Saturday. Yes, we will go this time! Karaoke session again on the 23rd. Must go! I'm preparing for something. (Shhhh, that much is just about what I'll tell, people who know, I would appreciate it if you don't tell anyone.) Zhenting's 21st birthday chalet on the 25th! Yahoo! Going to Wild Wild Wet, to Shuan's delight. Yes yes, I know, I'm going ok!? Bah. I must be out of my mind to have promised her. *smacks forehead* Heights and water are so not Sel's cup of tea. Jap lessons are in the pipeline, starting in September. Need to wait for call to confirm whether class is starting. (they better start la, if not, I will skin them!!!) Choir practices are starting in September too. (Busy month, this September is) My 21st birthday party, in September too! Would appreciate it if those people I asked would kindly RSVP with me. Paiseh ah, need to order food, so I need agar-agar the number of people coming. Also, there would be alcohol (minimal, mainly raspberry vodka) going around, if you want to bring your household's excess alcohol, you're really welcomed to do so. Mummy's planning a HK/Shanghai/Bangkok trip. She hasn't decided, hence the many slashes. I'm hoping she brings me along this time. o_O But seeing that class is starting soon and she STILL hasn't decided, I pretty much doubt I will be able to go. Damn. Planning a night of clubbing on the eve of my birthday, even though there's class early in the morning, at 9am. However, you only turn 21st once, so heck the classes. So people who are interested (preferably with own transport *grin*), you're welcomed. Will post up details soon. No wait, actually not much details to post up what. Ha ha ha. Just WATCH THIS SPACE. Also, something big might be coming up, if all goes well. Yes, just watch this blody green space. Like a lot of activities. Ya, actually really a lot of activities. Ok, I'm done with the updates. Wheee.

Got out

Sorry I left Wala Wala that night in such a hurry. The band was great. I just felt. Weird. Maybe just sick. Loud music, alcohol and Sel just don't mix. So, sorry, but I'm sure you guys had fun anyway. I got out of the Viridian Room. Now I only wish I could get out of my own prison. Someday. Till then. Grateful for your company the past year. Will still post photos up here occasionally. So come back sometimes to sweep the dust, ok? I'm going away from Blogosphere. Not going away from the world, you silly people. Ciao. P.S. Links still work though. And wish list is still valid. =) Look out for the checked boxes though. Leaving you with this. Just for thoughts.. (Republished from : July Archives) Have you ever wondered which hurts the most? Saying something and wishing you hadn't? Or saying nothing and wishing you had? I guess the most important things are the hardest things to say. Don't be afraid to tell someone you love them. If you do, they might break your heart... if you don't, you might break theirs. Have u ever decided not to become a couple because you were so afraid of losing what you already had with that person? Your heart decides whom it likes and whom it doesn't. You can't tell your heart what to do. It does it on its own........ When you least suspect it, or even when you don't want it to. Have you ever wanted to love someone with everything you had, but that other person was too afraid to let you? Too many of us stay walled up because we are too afraid to care too much... for fear that the other person does not care as much, or even at all. Have you ever denied your feelings for someone because your fear of rejection was too hard to handle? We tell lies when we are afraid... afraid of what we don't know, afraid of what others will think, afraid of what will be found out about us. But every time we tell a lie, the thing we fear grows stronger. Life is all about risks and it requires you to jump. Don't be a person who has to look back and wonder what they would have done, or could have had. *What would you do if every time you fell in love you had to say good-bye? *What would you do if every time you wanted someone they would never be there? *What would you do if your best friend died tomorrow and you never got to tell them how you felt? (even if it is that you don't care anymore) *What would you do if you loved someone more than ever and you couldn't have them? *What would you do if you never got the chance to say I am friends with all of my family and they know I love them? *People live, but people die. If you died tomorrow (God Forbid) you would be in my heart forever. But. Would I be in yours?

The Rooms

Wow, this game is quite fun! Do go try it out, I think some of you might have played before already. The Crimson Room Then when you're done with that, try The Viridian Room Mind boggling man. I managed to get out of the Crimson Room, so if you need help, ask me! But am still stuck inside the Viridian Room. *Darn* Expect spooky music and eerie voices. LOL. Just warning you guys (and girls) in advance so you all don't get freaked. Can always turn off the sound. =) Have fun!

Mummy's Birthday!

Long overdue photos.

Never say I Love You if you don't care. Never talk about feelings if they aren't really there. Never touch a life if you mean to break a heart. Never say you will, if you don't plan to start. Never look in the eye when all you do is lie. The cruellest thing a guy can do to a girl, is to let her fall in love when he doesn't intend to catch her fall...

Tuesday, August 02, 2005

Omg! I'm loving that Flickr thing on my blog! Hee hee hee! It's like a mini preview of my photos ey! But I've already blown my August's bandwidth. Bah. So I've got to wait till like September to load more photos. Sadness. Time passes so fast yeah? It's like August already. Soon it'll be Michelle's birthday, like in 3 days' time. Hmmm and Mummy's birthday too. Wah, I'm getting broke soon. Money from the Starhub Invitational Golf event is not coming yet. *sobs* Remind me again why I love doing events. Hummph. Then it'll be Zhenting's birthday! She still hasn't decided whether she's going to hold it at KBox, she can't make up her mind! I guess, there're just SO many places you can have your 21st party la. Unless you are filthy rich, can book hotel function room or book a club or something. So you see, I'm not filthy rich, so I'm holding it at my place. Hee hee hee. I'm so excited! But I think it's going to be a bit of a squeeze. Oh my. I think I should filter my list a bit. And I think I should think up a "Wish List" no? Hahaha, make the present-buying process easier for you guys. See, I am so nice. Ho ho ho. I love birthdays! Heh heh. Except for the 9-5 classes. tmd. Suddenly feel like eating the Beard Papa cream puffs. Never eaten before. Is it good? Hmmm. Yay! Carolling practices are starting in September! Hee hee hee! I love having practices. It reminds me of secondary school choir practices. All the good times I spent in the choir room. *dreams* But sigh, memories will forever be memories. At least the people are still here. =) Was bloghopping and found some blogs! Hee hee! So fun! Met up with Shuan and Shuling and Zhenting today too! Whee! It's nice to catch up with them! It's hard to believe we're still keeping in close touch even after graduating like 1 year ago. See, if you really want to do something, it can be done. No excuses like, "I'm too busy." or "Too far away." C-r-a-p. Shopping for Mich's present was a nightmare! OMG! I think we popped into most of the bag stores in Parco Bugis and Bugis Village. And still! Nothing! Either were too small, too casual, too formal, too big, too expensive or just not Michelle. Argh. Total nightmare. Just when we thought we found The One, it turned out to be defective. WTF! Sadness. It was the right price too. Pooi. Grr. Why did we choose to buy her a bag!?!? Why huh why! *tears hair in frustration* Mummy's OTO Big Foot massage thing was delivered today. Heh heh. Interesting. Foot reflexology in the comforts of my home! Whee! Ok, for all blog readers only, special rate! $2 for one go! Hee hee. It's about 10 minutes per cycle, but it's equivalent to 1hr of foot reflexology. Hmm. Any takers? Hahahaha. Joking, joking. Saw these phrases on some bags @ The Wallet Shop: "Do I look like I freakin' care!?" "I'm not mean, you're just not cute enough." "Oh, just shut up." Hahaha, the first 2 cracked me up. For a good 2o minute. Heh heh. And I started to reply the girls with those phrases. ZT: " I have like $n in my bank account now. Damn saddening." Sel: "Do I look like I freakin' care!?" ============================ LOL. Oh Gawd, I'm so funny. I have a blessed sense of humour. Everyone! Laugh with me! P.S. Karen, don't be discouraged! Try again! Not only you mount strike kerb, I also will mount/strike kerb! *Hugs* We're right behind ya! Jiayou!
